Our architectural work is spread across a broad spectrum. An anganwadi for a village panchayat in Kerala is the smallest project on the board. Large scale projects include assorted housing typologies – an affordable housing project in Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and student housing in university campuses. 

In terms of the socio-economic context, some of our works have a public – social nature, whereas some have a public – for profit nature and some have a private – aspirational nature to it. Our work is always a negotiation of the multiple forces acting upon a project – extrinsic and intrinsic.

We have consistently worked on interior design engagements from our inception, and thus have two decades of depth in the domain. Our work touches several parts in the lifecycle of a person – child care and education, work, leisure, wellness and healthcare; and transitions from the personal to the social and public. 

Over the years, the interior designer practice has evolved to being one that is centred on collaboration and co-creation with other design and technology disciplines, and all the stakeholders in the project. That’s how we go inside-out with each project.

This is a domain that works in a dual manner – as an extension of our interior design practice and as specialist assignments for furniture manufacturers. The work is dominated by furniture – individual pieces and collections for workplaces, learning and co-living spaces. 

This furniture is meant to be produced at scale and is thus governed by economical parameters. Knowledge of materials, accessories, production and assembly techniques are crucial to this practice. While the design thinking here is dominated by impulses from cost and technology, our effort is also to infuse an element of craft into this work. 

Communication design engagements have an independent status within the practice. The work revolves around brand, identity, and print design which includes brand manuals, publication design, and print collaterals. The form of this work is mostly physical. The work also includes design for the digital landscape of organisations – UI/UX design and web design

The work here is also closely associated with the spatial design practice. We enable the translation of a brand into space through environment graphics and design. Here the work is both physical and digital in nature.

This is at the intersection of the spatial design and communication design practice. Sensibilities that produce effective communications have to be complimented with a strong sense of the kinetic nature of spatial experience.

Add to this the design and technical expertise that brings together materials, joinery and assembly techniques to produce signage and way-finding design that work both indoors and outdoors.
